Case IH Offers More Details On 2130 Early Riser
Global ag equipment manufacturer Case IH is expanding its 2000 series Early Riser planters with the 2130 Early Riser stack-fold model, which will be available for 2019 in five configurations. Featuring Precision Planting technology, the 2130 implements new features designed to boost productivity for “high-tech strip-till and flood-irrigation operations.” Case IH also says the planter packs an improved metering system that provides reliable delivery of cotton, peanut, dry bean, corn, and other crop seeds.
The Way You Farm
Case IH is making the 2130 Early Riser available for 30-, 36-, 38-, and 40-inch (76.2-, 91.4-, 96.5-, and 101.6-centimeter) rows and will customize models from the factory to “fit the way you farm,” whether that means planting multiple crop types or working with wide-row configurations or irrigated acres. “The stack-fold configuration brings row units close to the tractor, allowing you to easily maneuver and plant as close as possible to an irrigation ditch or pipe,” Case IH states. Additionally, the company says the planter’s mounted design “eliminates draft, so the planter more precisely follows guidance lines,” a trait that makes it “perfect” for high-tech strip-till operations.
Another productivity-enhancing feature included as an option is a fully integrated in-furrow liquid fertilizer-delivery system and 50-bushel bulk-fill tank. Compared to on-row hoppers, Case IH says the bulk-fill tank lets operators carry 2.2 times more seed on a 12-row planter and 1.6 times more on a 16-row model. With row-by-row shutoffs included, Case IH says the fertilizer-delivery system provides more planting accuracy while also distributing weight evenly across the planter. That allows for “consistent pressure on your gauge wheels and accurate seed depth regardless of the speed or soil conditions.” Case IH is also offering optional lift-assist wheels for added support and weight distribution.
Made To Travel
Case IH says the key to the 2130 planter’s stack-fold system is the heavy-duty toolbar that supports the implement. This sturdy frame gives the 2130 its ability to distribute weight across the tractor when planting, maximizing flotation and minimizing compaction. Additionally, the 2130’s quick-stacking ability enables operators to get in and out of fields quickly and efficiently.
