Briggs & Stratton’s Snapper brand revealed two new stand-on mowers, the SS100 and SS200, at the Green Industry and Equipment Expo (GIE+EXPO), which took place from October 17 through the 19th in Louisville, Kentucky. Both of the models are available now starting at an MSRP of $7,199. They are also supported by a 2+2 Year Limited Warranty that provides full coverage for unlimited hours for the first two years, followed by another two years or until you hit 500 operator hours. The warranty covers the mowers’ suspensions for five years.

“Stand-on mowers are a great option for operators who need to frequently stop and start to move obstacles or clear debris, want to save room on the trailer, or desire a higher vantage point during operation,” says Dan Roche, marketing director for commercial products at Briggs & Stratton. “Stand-on mowers have a compact footprint, allowing landscape contractors to fit more on the trailer.”

    Snapper Pro SS100

The Snapper Pro SS100 is available either with a Vanguard Model 3867 engine that produces up to 23 gross horsepower and a 36-inch (91-centimeter) cutting deck, or with a Kawasaki FX600V 19-horsepower engine and a 48-inch (122-centimeter) iCD cutting system. Shared features include a Hydro-Gear ZT-3400 transaxle, adjustable platform and suspension, ultra-durable caster tires in the front, and a maximum mowing speed of 8 mph (13 km/h).

    Snapper Pro SS200

The Snapper Pro SS200 is powered by an 810cc Vanguard EFI engine that produces up to 28 gross horsepower and takes advantage of the Oil Guard System, which Briggs & Stratton claims can save “contractors up to 60 percent on oil maintenance per unit, per season.” It’s available with either a 52- or 61-inch (132- or 155-centimeter) iCD cutting system and features the same transaxle, caster tires, and adjustable platform and suspension as the SS100, but has a slightly higher mowing speed of up to 10 mph (16 km/h).
