New Holland Introduces New GENESIS T8 Series Tractors
New Holland Agriculture used the recent 2019 National Farm Machinery show in Louisville, Kentucky, to introduce its new GENESIS T8 Series—Tier 4B tractors featuring the company’s Precision Land Management (PLM) technology. Available in wheeled and SmartTrax models, New Holland says the tractors were “designed to adapt to every individual farmer’s unique needs,” where connectivity, enhanced visibility, customizable controls, and improved comfort are concerned.
“Carefully Engineered”
Consisting of the T8.320, T8.350, T8.380/T8.380 SmartTrax, T8.410/T8.410 SmartTrax, and T8.435/T8.435 SmartTrax models, the GENESIS T8 Series tractors use FPT Cursor 9 Tier 4B engines that feature ECOBlue HI-eSCR technology to enhance performance. Engine Power Management (EPM) technology helps boost engine power such that the T8.435’s engine, for example, is rated for 380 horsepower but outputs 435 horsepower via EPM, New Holland says.
Ken Paul, New Holland product marketing manager for North America, says New Holland relied on firsthand input from farmers to create a tractor that’s “literally built for the way they work.” That includes the way the tractors’ revamped cab design integrates comfort and convenience-minded features as well as customizable controls that let operators make adjustments based on “their unique preferences and requirements.” In addition to easier access to storage, additional power ports and vents, egress lights, and an ergonomic seat, the GENESIS T8 cab also offers enhanced maximum visibility, thanks to a fully glazed door, a large windshield, and wraparound glass. Optional wide-angle, split-view mirrors decrease operator blind spots even more.
Intelligence Maximized
PLM Intelligence-related features the GENESIS T8 tractors provide include a new ergonomic SideWinder Ultra armrest and the IntelliView 12 monitor. Luke Zerby, New Holland PLM product marketing manager for North America, says the words “open, connected, smart, and supported” aptly sum up New Holland’s precision-farming solutions. “PLM Intelligence maximizes all of these utilizing ISOBUS CLASS III technology to keep you completely connected through MyPLM Connect and APIs to share and analyze your data, and now to enhance support functionality through one’s local New Holland dealer,” Zerby says.
