Case IH Rolls Out New Tech In Advance Of 2019 Planting Season
According to Case IH’s planter marketing manager Tony McClelland, his company's Early Riser planters already offered “a rugged row unit and industry-leading planting accuracy,” and now they have gotten even better. Case IH has enhanced the Early Riser 2000 Series’ abilities in time for the spring 2019 planting season with new layers of high-definition data via The Climate Corporation’s FieldView Cab app featuring FieldView Drive technology.
Greater Insight
Case IH says the new setup enables row-by-row visualization, mapping, auto-guidance line sharing, and other abilities while also eliminating the need to buy a FieldView-exclusive display. The FieldView tech is available for Early Riser 2000 Series planters matched with a Case IH tractor that incorporates AFS (Advanced Farming Systems) AccuGuide auto-guidance (a NavII/III controller, AFS 372 receiver, and AFS Pro 700 display).
With a FieldView subscription and compatible equipment in place, producers need only to plug the FieldView Drive hardware into a Case IH AFS Pro 700 display and begin planting. While FieldView Drive provides standard map layers (hybrid variety, population, and planting-speed data) for Case IH’s 1200 and 2000 Early Riser planters, it makes additional singulation, spacing, DeltaForce hydraulic downforce, liquid fertilizer, and granular chemical map layers available for 2000 Series planters connected to a Case IH Steiger, Magnum, Optum, or Puma tractor equipped with AccuGuide.

Case IH says FieldView also enables auto-guidance line sharing among multiple Case IH tractors that are fully equipped with AFS AccuGuide. “Producers can use the FieldView Drive and their corresponding FieldView subscription to share straight A/B and heading-guidance lines,” says Case IH. Additionally, the company says HD mapping is accessible via any iPad with The Climate Corporation FieldView app installed, meaning no additional display is required.
