Kubota Tractor Corporation recently unveiled its all-new MX Series, a hybrid of compact and utility tractors, at its annual dealer meeting in Grapevine, Texas. The series includes two models, the Kubota MX5400 and the MX6000, which range from 55.5 to 63.4 in gross engine horsepower and come with or without a factory cab. Both models will be available in November.

    “Best Of Both Worlds”

“The MX Series is really the best of both worlds,” says Kelcey Cockrell, assistant product manager with Kubota, adding, “its size and maneuverability allow it to fit those larger compact tractor-sized applications, while its power allows it to meet the demands of those smaller utility tractor-sized applications.” Kubota cites land maintenance, livestock feeding, landscaping jobs, and municipal uses among the residential and commercial applications for which the MX Series is well-suited.

    Customization Options

Depending on your needs, the Kubota MX Series tractors are available with a category 1 or category 2 three-point hitch, a combination of ROPS (rollover protection structure) and cab options, and two- or four-wheel drive with gear drive or HST (hydrostatic) transmission. Kubota also offers over 50 accessory options and numerous compatible implements.

    Standard Specs

Kubota says the MX Series has a maximum lift capacity 24 inches (61 centimeters) behind the lift point of 2,310 pounds (1,048 kilograms) for a wide range of implements. The tractors are also equipped with an E/H (electric over hydraulic) PTO switch for easy push-and-turn start and push-to-stop functionality. The 2-lever quick coupler makes it easy to attach and detach grapple buckets, bale spears, and other attachments.

According to Kubota, the MX Series tractors have “a maximum lift capacity 24 inches [61 centimeters] behind the lift point of 2,310 pounds [1,048 kilograms],” accommodating “a wide range of implements.” Kubota engineered the LA1065 front loader for the MX Series; the front loader delivers lift capacity up to 2,275 pounds (1,032 kilograms) and breakout force up to 1,691 pounds (767 kilograms), per the manufacturer.
