John Deere Wins 2020 AE50 Awards For Ag Innovation
John Deere recently racked up a number of AE50 Awards from the ASABE (American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers), an international organization that promotes engineering advancements in agricultural, food, and biological systems. The AE50 Awards go to the 50 most innovative products in the food and agriculture industry as determined by an international panel of engineering experts. This year Deere won awards for its LS475 Liquid System, N500C Series Air Drill, and Quik-Knect System. The awards will be presented in February at the ASABE Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference in Louisville, Kentucky.
"AE50 Awards reaffirm the innovative spirit of our employees and illustrate John Deere's commitment to bring those linked to the land the most useful, high-quality products possible. No one in the industry invests more in research and development than John Deere, and we remain committed to that strategy," says Joel Dawson, director, production and precision ag for John Deere. "Our engineers take great pride in creating new technology and products to benefit our customers."
About The LS475 System
This liquid application system option for John Deere's F4365 High-Capacity Nutrient Applicator, introduced last fall, features a 2,000-gallon tank that can be rapidly filled at 300 gallons per minute and a 90-foot, seven-section auto-fold boom to cover large areas in a short amount of time.
About The N500C Series Air Drill
The new air drill improves accuracy in seeding with new technologies such as tank scales that allow on-the-go calibration from the cab, seed-flow monitoring, and down force control.
About The Quik-Knect System
The Quik-Knect System eases the process of connecting the tractor with implements by using one connector for the tractor PTO shaft and another for the implement, allowing operators to slide the connectors together until they click. The system is compatible with the 1, 2, 3 and 4 Series models of John Deere compact utility tractors.
