Reduce Trips To The Field With New Case IH Bale Accumulators
Designed to reduce loading time by up to 50%, Case IH’s new lineup of large square baler accumulators are fully automatic and able to dump multiple uniform bales whenever the accumulator reaches capacity. The new lineup, which includes three- and five-bale horizontal accumulators and a three-bale vertical accumulator, creates neatly placed groups of bales that are ready for pickup.
Stack It Your Way
Case IH’s new bale accumulators are available in four models, including three horizontal bale styles. The five-bale AC5150 horizontal accumulator is the headliner, and is designed for larger operations. For horizontal stacking, Case IH also offers the AC3108 for 3x3 bales and the AC4108 for 4x3 bales. Operations who prefer vertical stacking can use the VS1208, which stacks three 4-foot-wide bales. An in-cab monitor allows the operator to see how many bales are on deck, and in addition to automatic ejection, operators can manually discharge the bales when they reach a preferred drop-off location.
All Squared Away
“Using an accumulator to pre-package and dump multiple uniform bales helps producers streamline their operation by reducing the number of trips needed across their fields, ultimately saving money on fuel, time, and equipment wear and tear,” says Brian Spencer, Case IH senior marketing manager. Designed for simplicity, the accumulators require no daily maintenance and are compatible with closed-center and open-center load-sensing hydraulic systems.
Improvements On Model Year 2020 Balers
Case IH has also announced a key environmental improvement for its 2020 large square balers. The new balers will come with a features called “TwinePro” that adds a second loop knot, improving knot strength by up to 30% and eliminating twine off cuts. Case IH estimates that the knotting technique will save up to 9,800 feet of off cuts per year.
