John Deere Expands AutoTrac Controller 300 Availability To More Machines
John Deere recently announced that it will offer a new, universal version of their precision guidance system, AutoTrac Controller 300, to enable owners of machines that are not guidance-equipped to easily add the feature. The kit can be installed without steering wheel modifications or any changes to operator ergonomics. The AutoTrac Controller 300 system is compatible with a wide range of ag machines, including different types, ages, and brands, that have single-source hydraulic steering and a minimum of four wheels. Orders are being accepted now.
About AutoTrac Controller 300
AutoTrac Controller 300 is a guidance system for single-point steering machines, such as utility tractors or articulated four-wheel drives, and allows owners to easily add guidance to their machine. AutoTrac reduces skips and overlaps, lowering expenses for producers and increasing efficiency. The system can be added to ag machines with front- or rear-wheel steering and open- and closed-center hydraulic systems. The dealer-installed kit uses hydraulic and electrical components to provide quick guidance line acquisition. The company plans to expand compatibility beyond tractors later this year.
Consistent Precision Ag Experience
"We know that not all farmers operate new John Deere machines factory-equipped with AutoTrac," Mishler explains. "This solution is compatible with many newer Deere vehicles not already equipped with AutoTrac, as well as older machines and other equipment brands. It integrates with a John Deere precision ag display and StarFire receiver for a complete guidance system and a consistent John Deere Precision Ag experience across the entire fleet."
