After introducing a new fourth-generation lineup of Fendt 300 Vario tractors in mid-August, AGCO announced in early September that the four-model, 100- to 132-horsepower lineup will be available for delivery in early 2022. AGCO says the midrange 300 Varios are light and powerful and include features and quality typical of larger Fendt tractors. The manufacturer says they are perfect for hay and livestock production, field work, and daily farm chores. Configurations include Profi models with the Fendt Connect telemetry package and ProfiPlus models with Fendt Connect, the guidance-ready Fendt Guide package, and Fendt TaskDoc for automated crop production documentation and variable-rate and section control options.

    Marketplace Distinguishers

The 300 Vario lineup now includes the 100-hp 311, 113-hp 312, 123-hp 313, and new 132-hp 314. All benefit from Fendt DynamicPerformance power-boost technology that automatically adds 10 hp when “it senses the need.” Noting that the tractors can accept a full range of front and rear implements, Tom Turner, AGCO strategic marketing manager, says the tractors were “designed specifically to handle the constant reversing and speed changes needed for loader work.” Overall, AGCO says two characteristics set the 300 Varios apart from competitors: outstanding weight-to-power ratio and agility, both of which are key for loader tasks performed in tight quarters.

    Power & Productivity

The tractors’ 4.4-liter AGCO Power engine works with the Fendt tractor management system, automatic maximum load control, and AGCO’s stepless VarioDrive continuously variable transmission (CVT) transmission. Inside the cab, Fendt says the 300s’ new FendtONE operator station lets operators customize operations to their individual preferences, using armrest control buttons, a multifunction joystick, and as many as three customizable touchscreen displays. The screens include a new 10-inch digital dashboard built into the steering column, and all are linked so that operators can view user-selected information panels across them.
