AGCO Announces Massey Ferguson 1800M & 2800M Series Compact Tractors
AGCO recently introduced the Massey Ferguson 1800M and 2800M Series, a new family of compact tractors that will replace the 1700M Series and come with options for a factory-installed cab or open-station rollover protection system (ROPS). In total, the line consists of five models with engines ranging from 35 to 60 horsepower.
Powertrain Options
Massey Ferguson’s M Series tractors come standard with the 12x12 power shuttle-shift transmission, which provides a broad range of working and transport speeds. An optional three-range hydrostatic transmission is available and has dual pedal controls to set and maintain preferred speed. The tractors offer up to 12.6 gpm hydraulic output to provide more responsive power at low engine speeds and enable operators to throttle back to reduce noise while maintaining steering and implement function.
The 1800M Series have 1.83-liter, three-cylinder Iseki diesel engines. The 2800M Series have 2.43-liter, four-cylinder engines. Both meet Tier IV emissions standards. M Series compact tractors can be equipped with dozens of implements and attachments, such as Massey Ferguson FL Series loaders, CB backhoes, and front-mounted snow blowers.
“Premium Workhorses”
“We are excited to introduce these new premium workhorses to the growing compact market segment,” says AGCO Tactical Marketing Manager Jeffrey Ratliff. “The new turbocharged and liquid-cooled Iseki engines offer some of the very latest innovations in diesel engine design and meet the growing demand for cleaner-burning, fuel-efficient power. The next-generation M Series delivers a new level of powerful, reliable performance.”
