New Case IH LB436 HD Large Baler Makes The Most Of Narrow Baling Windows
Case IH’s new LB436 HD large square baler offers a number of features to help commercial hay growers improve productivity, including a bale chamber that’s 16% longer and provides 50% more plunger force than other Case IH models. The design improvements allow the baler to produce highest bale density in the Case IH large square baler lineup.
“Today’s commercial hay growers, as well as dairy and beef producers, need equipment that delivers more capacity and density to drive their bottom line,” says Brian Spencer, Case IH hay and forage equipment marketing manager. “With a simple, innovative design and advanced technology to boost productivity, producers can rely on this new high-density baler to drive efficiency on their operation.”
Concentrated Technology
The LB436 HD is highlighted by a pre-compression chamber that forms the forage into stable flakes, and a sensor plate allows the material to move into the main compression chamber. Inside the main chamber, a large density ring utilizes seven hydraulic cylinders to apply pressure to the chamber for increased density and more uniform bale shape. Case IH equips the LB436 HD with a patented two-speed gearbox that allows the baler to deliver high pressure with 48 strokes per minute. The unit’s five tine bars tine bars help reliably and cleanly pick up windrows, and with a short drawbar, operators have an unobstructed view of the pick-up area.
Efficiency
The steerable pick-up bars offer a working width of 7.7 feet (2.35 meters), and Case IH says the baler can produce 80 bales per hour. The LB436 HD also features Case IH’s TwinePro knotter to offer reliable tying with the addition of a loop knot, delivering increased knot strength. Maintenance is also simple as baler adjustments can be made quickly and easily via ground-level access for routine service.
