Fendt Introduces Height-Adjustable Rogator 900 Series Wet/Dry Applicator
Fendt and its parent company AGCO have announced plans to introduce the Rogator 900 series adjustable-clearance applicator to markets worldwide. The new self-propelled sprayer and dry fertilizer applicator will appear at the Midwest Ag-Industries Exposition (MAGIE) being held August 25 to 26, 2021, in Bloomington, Illinois, and then again at the 2021 Farm Progress Show August 31 to September 2 in Decatur, Illinois.
Fendt will begin accepting orders from North American customers in October 2021, with deliveries to start in May 2022. The Rogator 900 is available in the U.S., Canada, Australia, Russia, and Ukraine.
Variable & Versatile
Fendt has designed the Rogator 900 to be a single machine that can apply liquid or dry materials at any part of the season including pre-planting, post-emergent, mid-season, and late-season. The applicator’s chassis can be raised from standard clearance to a high clearance of up to 6.3 feet (1.93 meters) with the push of a button.
Buyers can specify tires in widths of 18.9, 26.8, or 28 inches (480, 680, or 710 millimeters); the wider tires’ greater contact patch minimizes soil compaction. A hydraulic track width adjustment is available as an option. Its 120- to 152-inch (3- to 3.8-m) range of track width allows the operator to adjust the sprayer to different row spacings and applications such as controlled traffic farming, Fendt says.
The Rogator 900 can be converted from a 900- to 1,300-gallon (3,400- to 4,900-liter) liquid sprayer to a 254-cubic-foot (7,000-L) dry applicator. Fendt says the conversion now takes as little as two hours with assistance from a crane or a jacking system. The dry applicator can spread mineral fertilizer, cover-crop seed, nutrients, or fall burndown products.
Interior
The Rogator 900’s VisioPlus cab provides excellent visibility and a spacious interior. Its dual-filter system uses activated carbon to protect the operator from dust, aerosols, and vapors.
The applicator has a multifunction joystick and Fendt’s signature armrest. Its Varioterminal 10.4 can optionally control the Rogator’s four-wheel steering and Fendt TI Headland automated turning system.
Other options include a roof-mounted weather station; seats with dynamic cushioning, heat, ventilation, and/or leather upholstery; a leather-wrapped steering wheel; a premium sound system; and a cooled compartment for drinks.
Technical Specifications
The Fendt Rogator 900 series comes in five models. These include the 932, 934, and 937, along with the 934H and 937H high-clearance models for use late in the growth phase on crops such as corn and sunflowers.
Rogator 900 series applicators offer working widths from 90 to 132 ft (27 to 40 m). The width of the machines ranges from 12.8 to 14.7 ft (3.91 to 4.5 m).
The new Fendt sprayers are powered by a six-cylinder, 8.4-L AGCO Power engine with 290 to 369 horsepower (216 to 275 kilowatts). North American models’ engines meet Tier 4 Final emissions standards using a diesel oxidation filter (DOC), a diesel particulate filter (DPF) and an SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system. The engine’s cooling system uses an automatic reversing fan to clear out pollen and dust as needed.
Fendt’s Rogator 900 Series applicators are covered by a three-year Gold Star Customer Care maintenance, service, and warranty program.
