Kubota’s L3302 & L3902 L Series Compact Tractors Coming Soon With PTO, Loader Options
The two latest models in Kubota's long-running Standard L Series of compact tractors, the L3302 and the L3902, are four-wheel-drive, rollover protection system (ROPS)-equipped machines with a new power take-off (PTO) on units with a hydrostatic transmission. They will become available at dealerships this year in early spring.
“The upgrades on our new L02 compact tractors were strategic and universal to the line,” says Kubota Compact Tractor Product Manager Beau Woodbury. “We added comfort and styling features while keeping affordability top-of-mind. With the new L3302 and L3902, we are officially introducing the next generation of our popular Standard L Series line. I’m most excited to offer new comfort features, as well as enhanced key operational features such as the new independent PTO on the HST models.”
Comfortable To Operate
The Kubota L3302 has 33 gross horsepower (24.6 kilowatts) and the L3902 produces 37.5 gross HP (28 kW). The pair’s fuel-efficient diesel engines are also made by Kubota and are designed to minimize noise and vibration. They employ a common-rail fuel distribution system with electronically controlled fuel injection. The manufacturer says that a large, 11.1-gallon (42-liter) fuel tank keeps the tractors on the job for longer.
The L3302 and L3902 feature more driver space than their forbears, as well as an enhanced suspension seat with optional armrests. LED headlights and side work lights come standard on the tractors, as do high-traction rubber floor mats.
PTO & Transmission Options
Kubota offers the L3302 and L3902 with either gear drive or HST transmissions. The gearbox includes eight forward and eight reverse speeds, whereas the tractor’s accelerator pedal controls the three-range HST’s speed and direction. Dual brake pedals allow the driver to tighten the tractors’ turn radius to the left or right.
On hydrostatic models, a simple clutchless switch can turn on the independent PTO as the tractor is operating. The 540-rpm PTO generates 26.1 HP (19.5 kW) on the L3302 for driven attachments and 30.3 HP (22.6 kW) on the L3902. The two tractors each have a Category 1 three-point hitch.
Available Loader Attachment
Kubota also offers the new, deeper LA526 front loader, and says it is matched to the performance levels of the L3302 and L3902. The new loader can lift up to 1,144 pounds (519 kilograms) and provides up to 94 inches (2,388 millimeters) of lift height at the pin.
The LA526 loader’s hydraulic valve has a regenerative circuit and allows simultaneous operation of the boom and bucket. This speeds up loader movements and dump times. The loader is easy to remove from the tractor without tools, Kubota says, and it doesn’t require an additional parking stand kit.
