Over the past few years, Valtra has rolled out new fifth-generation variants for its tractor series, such as the A, N, and T Series, commonly adding intelligent features like Valtra Guide, Variable Rate Control, SmartTurn, and Section Control with Multiboom. The new fifth-generation Q series completes Valtra’s tractor lineup transition with new models powered by a 7.4-liter Agco Power engine. The new Q Series tractors also simplify control of Valtra’s tractor tech with the SmartTouch interface allowing operators to control all the tractor’s functions from the armrest console.

    Q Series Models

The new Q Series lineup includes the Q225 (225 horsepower, 168 kilowatts), the Q245 (245 HP, 183 kW), the Q265 (265 HP, 198 kW), the Q285 (285 HP, 213 kW), and the Q305 (305 HP, 227 kW). All models have access to a boost power level, which is available when power consumption from the hydraulics or PTO increases, or when the tractor operates at road speeds. Maximum power level is produced at engine speeds as low as 1850 rpm, and with the Permatorque feature, torque levels are consistent even at the 1,000- to 1,500-rpm range, according to Valtra. The Q Series features an Agco continuously variable transmission, and with Valtra’s electronic transmission management, the tractor selects the lowest engine speed to save fuel while maintaining performance.

    Designed For Pros

Valtra equips the Q Series with its most popular smart farming technology, including Valtra Connect telematics for real-time usage and maintenance data. The remote machine monitoring includes features for geofence monitoring and alerts, idle and transit time statistics, and other reporting tools. Intelligent Valtra technology like Auto U-pilot and SmartTurn automates steering and headland turns for more consistent performance. By eliminating overlaps, Valtra estimates the Q Series can save up to 5% on inputs, while also improving yields. For a smooth ride in all field conditions, Q Series tractors are equipped with an air-suspended front axle.
