Kubota Tractor Corporation recently introduced its second-generation M5 Narrow Series, which includes two new models, the M5N-112 and the M5N-092, during the World Ag Expo in Tulare, California. The new tractors will replace the first-generation M5 series when they hit Kubota showrooms in March.

    Fine-Tuning & Feedback

“Kubota introduced the first M5N specialty tractors in 2017 and now after years of fine-tuning and operator feedback, we are excited to unveil the second generation of this popular series,” says Erik Lisitza, Kubota product manager, specialty tractors. “Kubota is committed to providing tractors for the specialty market that are engineered to meet the specific needs of specialty crop work. Now, with a redesigned hood and upgraded comfort features within the operator station, the second-generation M5N increases visibility and offers a comfortable ride while working in narrow rows with fragile, trellised vines.”

    About The M5 Narrow Series

The second-generation M5 Narrow series sports a redesigned hood, which has been lowered more than 5 inches (12.7 centimeters) to less than 55 in. (139 cm) high to improve sight lines and protect crops in vineyards and orchards. The tractors also now have an adjustable steering wheel that can tilt by up to 22 degrees and has a telescopic range of 2.3 in. (5.8 cm). An optional moveable front grille guard made of 100% steel pipe is also available to protect the hood. The M5N tractors are equipped with Bi-Speed turning, which rotates the front tires faster than the rear tires to pull the front of the tractor around for a tighter turning radius.

The M5N Series has two rollover protection system (ROPS) models, the 92-horsepower (69-kilowatt) M5N-092 and the 105-HP (78-kW) M5N-112HD. Each comes with either a 12- or 24-speed electrohydraulic transmission, a four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, and power take-off (PTO).
