2024 New Holland CR Series Combines Offer Improved Technology & Operator Comfort
New Holland has upgraded its CR series combines for 2024 with styling, component, and technology enhancements that deliver comfort, productivity, performance, and other benefits.
CR Series Styling
The most noticeable change is the refreshed design, which brings the harvesters in line with other New Holland farm machinery. Along with a New Holland 3-D leaf decal and blue details on the exterior, the combines will have a CR logo on the grain tank.
Ready For Crop Analysis
New Holland made no changes to the CR series’ engine power rating, basic specs, or harvesting performance for 2024. However, the NutriSense NIR crop analysis system is now available as a factory-fit option for all CR models. The system includes 3- or 5-year subscription plans, and it provides real-time crop composition analysis and mapping data that can be used to make informed storage, marketing, and crop-input planning decisions.
The CR7.80 and CR7.90 models will include Dynamic Feed Roll technology, which helps in collecting stones on the fly. CR7.80s and CR7.90s with 17-inch (43-centimeter) rotors are also available with the Dynamic Flow Control rotor vane system, which gives operators in-cab control of crop flow through the rotors. Both models also include the remote preserve feature and Grain Cam-ready grain elevators, which makes them easy to upgrade to a full IntelliSense installation. The CR9.90 and CR10.90, meanwhile, include IntelliSense as a standard feature.
Support For More Types Of Crops
Speaking of IntelliSense, the harvest-automation system has added milo and oats to the wheat, barley, corn, soybean, canola, and rice crop types it supports. IntelliSense helps achieve the highest possible throughput and lowest grain loss by optimizing combine settings every 20 seconds.
All 2024 models include the IntelliCruise II auto feed-rate-control system. IntelliCruise II uses an improved algorithm that New Holland says eliminates the need for the Feedrate sensor in the feeder drive. The combines gain a stone trap door position sensor that prevents grain loss by alerting the operator when the stone door is open.
Greater Comfort & Visibility
Two new seat options promise to bring operators greater comfort throughout long workdays: a premium full-leather seat and a deluxe cut and sewn seat. Customers can also opt for available seat features such as two-stage heating and ventilation and side-contour pneumatic and lumbar support.
A new three-camera option improves operator visibility, resulting in better safety and machine maneuverability. The option places a camera on the rear deck railing, above the hitch, and on the unload tube. Operators can view a live camera feed on the IntelliView display. New Holland includes a second display for 2024 CR models configured with the auto-guidance IntelliSteer and IntelliSense systems.
