New Case IH Axial-Flow 260 Combines Feature Subscription-Free Precision Technologies
Case IH has unveiled a new Axial-Flow 260 combine series that includes subscription-free access to built-in precision ag technologies, including Harvest Command, RowGuide Pro, AccuGuide, and AccuSync. Leo Bose, Case IH harvesting segment lead, says this is a significant step toward making integrated technology available to growers throughout the harvest.
“We purposefully bundled precision technologies so there are no subscriptions or activations required to run the machine,” he says. “The subscription-free connectivity gives customers the ability to remotely view machine and agronomic data via the new Case IH FieldOps platform, which will launch later in 2024. The technology stays for the lifetime of the hardware, boosting resale value.”
Axial-Flow 260 Models
New Axial-Flow 260 models include the Case IH 7260, 8260, and 9260. The Class 7, 8, and 9 variants have engine power ratings ranging from 402 to 550 horsepower (299 to 410 kilowatts). Tank capacities range from 315 to 410 bushels (11,100 to 14,448 liters), and unloading rates range from 4 to 4.5 bu per second (141 to 159 LPS). All have a 54-inch (137-centimeter) feeder width.
Complete Visibility
Harvest Command employs sensors to gather various data that it uses to automatically adjust the combine’s settings to maximize throughput and grain quality according to the grower’s harvesting goals.
The customizable Pro 1200 Dual Displays let operators monitor and configure Harvest Command and all aspects of machine operation, field performance, and grain quality in real time.
“The Pro 1200 Dual Displays give me complete visibility with all my combine data on one monitor and coverage maps on the other, so I’m no longer flipping back and forth between screens,” says Paul Paplow, vice president at U.S. Custom Harvesters, Inc. “Within just five minutes of using the Axial-Flow 260 series, with its real-time grain quality imaging feature, I could see the difference in superior grain quality.”
Enter FieldOps
RowGuide Pro and AccuGuide are auto-guidance systems that enhance on-row accuracy, minimize header losses, and reduce operator fatigue. The all-new RowGuide Pro uses GPS and advanced sensor technology to improve steering and enable row tracking. Row tracking includes breaks in standing corn, such as waterways. AccuSync, meanwhile, enables in-field data sharing between multiple farm machines.
FieldOps, announced earlier this year, is an all-in-one mobile and web solution that centralizes tools from the AFS Connect platform, which it will replace. FieldOps allows owners and operators to access agronomic, machine, and operational data to manage and visualize their entire farm machine fleet anytime, anywhere. Case IH says those with an AFS Connect account will have their information automatically transitioned to FieldOps.
Improved Operator Experience
Operators will enjoy the Axial-Flow 260 series’ luxury seating with massage, heating, and new air conditioning technology. Also enhancing the operator experience is an all-new sensor-based ActiveTrac four-roller hydraulic suspended track system. The system’s wider footprint increases flotation by 14% compared to fixed track offerings, resulting in a smoother ride and reduced compaction, says Case IH.
