Agco recently announced that Fendt's 600 Vario series of tractors are available in North America. The award-winning German-built tractors are compact, all-around workhorse models in the 200-horsepower (147-kilowatt) class. Fendt says 600 Vario tractors are built for field work, front loader chores, hay production, and other duties around the farm. An all-new Agco Power Core50 engine and a next-generation Fendt VarioDrive continuously variable transmission (CVT) are atop the series’ feature list.

    Welcome To The Lineup

"With the 600 Vario available in North America, we now have a complete line of machines perfect for any task on farms of any size," says Fendt Senior Marketing Manager David Soliday. "The 600 Vario offers everything farmers have come to know and love about Fendt tractors, including our efficient CVT transmission, comfortable FendtONE operator station, and best-in-class technology suite for those looking for a nimble, multiuse machine."

    Four Models Strong

The 600 Vario series comprises four models powered by 4-cylinder, 5-liter Core50 power plants. Engine power ratings range from 149 to 209 HP (110 to 154 kW). With Fendt DP intelligent power boost technology, up to 224 HP (165 kW) of maximum power is possible. Combining the engine with the Fendt iD low-speed concept, designed to enable maximum torque at low engine speeds, enables up to 701 pounds-foot (950 newton-meters) of maximum torque between 1,200 and 1,600 rpm.

According to Fendt, the 600 Vario’s 33.5-foot turning radius gives it the best maneuverability in the 200-horsepower market segment. (Photo courtesy of Agco.)

    ‘Insanely Small’

The 600 Vario’s single-range VarioDrive transmission provides independent control of the front and rear axles; Fendt says it delivers maximum tractive power, excellent ground protection, and superior maneuverability. The tractor’s “insanely small” 33.5-foot (10.2-meter) turning radius also contributes to its outstanding maneuverability, resulting in quicker headland turns and faster front loader work.

Buyers opting to add the VarioGrip automatic tire pressure regulation system can obtain up to an 8% boost in tractive power and up to 8% fuel savings. They'll also experience less slippage and enhanced ground protection. Over 8,000 Fendt tractors use the system, which is available for flange and bar axles. A Row Crop variant can provide pressure adjustments for dual tires.

    Great Visibility & Comfort

The 600 Vario's roomy VisioPlus cab has a new premium driver's seat with memory settings and stress-relieving massage functionality. The Category 4 cabin air filtration system safeguards you from dust and vapors when applying fertilizer and pesticides. During any task, you'll have outstanding visibility around the tractor thanks to a healthy dose of panoramic glass.
