New Holland recently introduced the next generation of its PowerStar tractor series, encompassing four models with new styling and features. The manufacturer featured the tractors at its booth at the 2025 World Ag Expo in Tulare, California, and the 2025 National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Kentucky, which took place in mid-February.

“These new PowerStar tractors elevate the expectations of what a utility tractor is capable of,” says Lena Patton, North American product marketing manager, New Holland. “From the outside, noticeable upgrades include a new hood with Connective Flow styling along with new LU Series front loaders and bigger tires. Inside the VisionView cab, operators will find greater productivity with a new seat, digital instrument cluster, super-high visibility panel, and loader joystick.”

    About The PowerStar Series

PowerStar tractors have Stage V-compliant 3.6-liter 4-cylinder FPT Industrial engines with a 3.4-gallon (12.8-L) diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank. The power plant also equips Compact HI-eSCR 2 technology and generates higher torque and additional horsepower for greater efficiency and 600-hour service intervals.

“We know our customers are seeking solutions that help them reduce their fuel costs,” Patton says. “While these engines still utilize common rail fuel injection technology like our previous models, we’ve also improved performance and optimized fuel consumption further with a longer stroke and more displacement.”

The 12x12 transmission with a column-mounted electronic power shuttle is available on the 100, 110, and 120 models. The 24x24 Dual Command transmission is also available as an option on all models. Both transmissions use the same electronic power shuttle, but the Dual Command has a Hi-Lo speed in all four gears. A PowerClutch button located on the back of the handle enables operators to shift without using the clutch pedal.

“With the push of a button on the side of the gearshift handle, operators can quickly reduce or increase their speed. This makes a Dual Command transmission ideal in adverse field or crop conditions, especially with PTO-driven implements,” says Patton.

    New Front Loaders

Operators have the option of new factory-installed LU Series front loaders with more lifting capacity, greater lift height, shorter cycle times, easier coupling, and improved visibility. The 650LU is designed for standard-duty applications, and the mechanical-self-leveling 655LU is made for tasks that require a greater lift capacity.

The loader’s attachment point places its center of gravity near the tractor’s rear axle, improving stability and lifting power. The hydraulic system comes standard with a 21.7-GPM (82-LPM) implement pump that delivers a 35% increase over previous models.

    Revamped Cab

The latest VisionView cab maintains the ergonomic control layout and adds a new air suspension seat, a digital instrument cluster, and a super-high visibility panel. Customers can also add the Comfort Ride cab suspension to Dual Command models for a 25% reduction in shock loads.
