Innovative JCB Skid Steer On Display At 2018 Landscape Ontario Congress
JCB’s 3TS-8T Teleskid is a skid steer with a telescopic boom, making it able to reach 60% further and 8% further than other skids on the market. The innovative skid steer can also dig to a depth of 3 feet (0.9 meter), so it can combine the features of a forklift, telescopic handler, compact loader, and skid steer. JCB recently announced both its 3TS-8T Teleskid and 48Z-1 compact excavator can be viewed at the 2018 Landscape Ontario Congress trade show—taking place January 9-11.
Wheeled & Tracked Teleskids
JCB offers the Teleskid in both wheeled and tracked models with rated operating capacities of 3,208 pounds (1,455 kilograms) and 3,695 pounds (1,676 kilograms), respectively. Both models feature a 74-horsepower JCB EcoMax engine that doesn’t require diesel particulate filter or diesel engine fluid. JCB indicates that the Teleskid is the only skid steer to combine the advantages of vertical and radial lift capabilities.
New Vertical Lift Skid Steer Loader
The 2018 Landscape Ontario Congress will also mark the Canadian debut of the 215 vertical lift skid steer loader. This small platform skid steer offers large platform capabilities with rated operating capacity of 2,112 pounds (958 kilograms) in the standard configuration. The 215 is also available as a compact track loader that supports 2,105 pounds (955 kilograms) in the standard configuration.
A Crowd-Pleasing Compact Excavator
JCB also expects the crowd to be pleased by the 48Z-1 compact excavator, featuring a zero-tail swing and a fully-bushed dig end. The 48Z-1 offers four engine modes for different hydraulic flows: Light, Eco, Heavy, and Heavy Plus. A low-pressure return line circuit is also present to improve fuel economy and load-sensing hydraulics are standard to only consumer power on demand.
The 2018 Landscape Ontario Congress take place at the Toronto Congress Centre with show doors opening at 9:00 a.m. on January 9. The show floor closes at 5:00 p.m. on the January 9 and 10, and on 4:00 p.m. on January 11.
