John Deere Rolls Out New G-Series Machines
The John Deere Construction & Forestry division just launched its new G-Series mid-frame skid steers and a compact track loader engineered to offer more productivity in a smaller package. The new 320G and 324G skid steers, and the 325G compact track loader are all classified as mid-frame models, striking the perfect balance between the productivity and capability offered by large-frame machines, and the maneuverability, fuel efficiency, and affordability of Deere’s small-frame machines. Other benefits of the new machines include ease of operation and transportation, and support for numerous attachments.
Big Power, Compact Frame
These mid-frame machines feature Yanmar Tier 4 Final engines capable of delivering between 69 and 74 horsepower. All three are capable of lifting a bucket high enough to fill a dump truck or grain hopper with 10-foot (3-meter) sidewalls, but the 324G skid steer and 325GCTL feature a 10.5-foot (3.2-meter) height to hinge pin. Attachment performance was also a key component of Deere’s design philosophy, which is why these skid steers and compact track loader offer superior breakout force and auxiliary flow. Optional extras include ride control and bucket self-leveling, for better control and less spillage when working in various conditions and on a variety of uneven ground. The narrower frames and lighter-weight of these machines also makes them ideal for working in confined spaces and on smaller sites.
Comfort Comes First
Features that make operating the 320G, 324G, and 325G easy and enjoyable include pressurized cabs capable of preventing dust and noise from getting in, heated seats, Bluetooth radio, a rearview camera, and an optional LED lighting package that’s considerably more durable and offers 50% better visibility compared to the standard-equipped halogen lighting. Keeping the machines’ interior clean is also simple, thanks to a footwell clean-out and easily removable cab-side windows. Maintenance operations are safer due to Deere’s in-cab boom lock-out system, which the operator can engage when the boom is raised.
All The Control You Need
The new skid steers and compact track loader come with your choice of standard manual foot and hand controls, and (EH) ISO joystick controls that support ISO- and H-patterns. You can also get them with an optional performance package that lets you alter drive system response, boom and bucket speeds, and set creep mode on demand. Keeping track of suggested maintenance and machine health in real-time, performing remote diagnostics, and tracking the fuel levels and location of the unit is possible thanks to 4G JDLink Ultimate machine monitoring.
If you’re interested in placing an order for one or more of the new G Series mid-frame machines, they’ll be available at dealers this spring.
