MQ Whiteman Introduces Track-Drive Power Buggy
Multiquip Whiteman, a well-known brand of construction, power, and lighting equipment, has just added a new track-driven option to its extensive lineup of power buggies. The new WTB-16, like MQ Whiteman’s other power buggies, is a highly versatile transport buggy ideally suited to the demands of concrete placement, material distribution, landscaping, cleanup, and other small transport tasks around the job site. MQ Whiteman’s existing lineup of power buggies, available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive, can haul up to 21 cubic feet (0.59 cubic meters) of material with the help of either Vanguard or Honda engines.
The New WTB-16
The new WTB-16 is the first track-driven unit among MQ Whiteman’s predominantly wheeled buggies. The advantages of the continuous track on the WTB-16 include lower ground pressure for superior traction on soft ground, snow, and mud. The buggy’s aggressive track pattern and high-torque drive motors ensure the machine handles well on uneven terrain and in a variety of conditions. The unit’s powerful motors also features fail-safe braking.
The WTB-16 comes equipped with a steel-embedded ladder track, a rugged undercarriage, and cast ductile iron guide wheels. The low-maintenance hydraulic design of the power buggy ensures contractors and operators never have to worry about frequently replacing worn or broken belt drives and drive couplers. The WTB-16’s dual control lever steering is designed to prevent operator fatigue and discomfort during prolonged use.
The easy-clean polyethylene tub on the WTB-16 supports 16 cubic feet (1.73 cubic meters) of material weighing up to 2,500 pounds (1,134 kilograms). The motor Multiquip’s engineers opted to use on this machine is the powerful and reliable Honda GX690, which generates 22 horsepower and lets you move materials at speeds up to 5.7 mph (9.2 km/h). You can also go longer between refueling thanks to the WTB-16’s 5-gallon (18.9-liter) fuel tank.
