CNH Industrial, a Racine, Wisconsin,-based manufacturer of agricultural and construction equipment, just announced its new CASE SV212D and SV216D single drum vibratory compactors, ideal for a variety of soil and asphalt applications.

A Force To Be Reckoned With

These new compactors can be equipped with your choice of either smooth or padfoot drums. CASE designed these new compactors to stand out among their competitors, offering best-in-class centrifugal forces, a self-adjusting torque control system, and superior climbing power, up to 65% grades. Both the SV212D and the SV216D are built to have an axle-free low-center-of-gravity and an oscillating articulated roller joint that maintains consistent drum-to-ground contact for good stability on a variety of uneven surfaces. They also feature a high-traction hydrostatic drive system capable of delivering constant power to the wheels and drum, and the machines’ 154-horsepower Tier 4 Final engines have the power you need to get the job done fast and efficiently.

The smaller (but no less capable) SV212D single drum vibratory compactor has an operating weight of 24,520-pounds (11,122 kilograms). (Photo courtesy of CNH Industrial.)

Another signature feature of the new compactors’ drum is the higher lift and deeper compaction depth capabilities, which ensures the operator achieves the desired level of compaction in fewer passes. The unique drum design also reduces drift and manages to maintain constant compaction throughout each rotation.

Kind On The Operator & Your Pocketbook

The new SV212D and SV216D single drum vibratory compactors come with your choice of an open or enclosed cab. Regardless of the style you select, both are roomy, comfortable, and intuitive to operate, featuring an adjustable seat that swivels up to 50 degrees, a sloped rear deck design for maximum visibility, and a number of easy-to-use push-button functions.

Contractors and owners will appreciate that the new compactors, like all CASE equipment, are built to be serviced at ground-level. The machines also feature an electro-hydraulic engine cover and electro-hydraulic cabin tilting for easily accessing the fluid ports, drains, service checkpoints, and filters.
