Multiquip Lends A Hand To Habitat For Humanity
Multiquip, which manufactures power generators, lighting products, and construction equipment, has announced that it is partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, to build, refurbish, and renovate houses in depressed areas of Los Angeles County.
Giving Back To The Community
For the last several years, Habitat LA has been facing a critical home shortage, a dearth of affordable housing, and record levels of poverty and homelessness in the community. To help the charitable organization in its mission, Multiquip plans to donate an MTX70 rammer, GA6HR generator, B46H90 walk-behind trowel, ST2037 submersible pump, TP24X tile saw, MC94PH8 concrete mixer, MVC88 plate compactor, MP115E masonry saw, and more.
Over 1,000 Homes
Multiquip’s direct assistance, as well as outside donations, community partners, and an army of volunteers, are all helping to ensure Habitat LA has the resources it needs to offer affordable housing for needy families in the region. According to Steve Cavazos, Multiquip’s VP of human resources, the company is dedicated to ensuring that Habitat LA succeeds in its mission to improve the lives of poverty-stricken members of the community. Over the course of nearly 30 years since it opened its doors, Habitat LA has refurbished or constructed more than 1,000 homes for families and individuals in need.
