JCB North America recently launched a series of new site dumpers equipped with either front-tip or swivel-tip buckets and capacities in excess of 13,000 pounds (5,897 kilograms).

    Heavy Lifters

According to JCB, these machines are ideal for moving bulk materials from place to place and are suitable for use by contractors, landscapers, homebuilders, and highway workers. The three new JCB site dumpers coming to the U.S. and Canadian markets include the 6T-1, which is equipped with your choice of a front- or swivel-tip bucket and has a lifting capacity of 13,228 pounds (6,000 kilograms); the 7T-1 Hi-Viz, which comes with a front-tip bucket and lifts 15,432 pounds (7,000 kilograms); and the 9T-1, which has a front-tip bucket and can lift 19,842 pounds (9,000 kilograms).

All three models come with a JCB EcoMAX 74-horsepower engine, a folding Roll-Over Protective Structures/Falling-Object Protective Structures Level II frame, an optional ROPS/FOPS Level II cab with integrated protection, a front camera and a reverse alarm. They also have seat belt switch logic that ensures proper operator seating, JCB LiveLink telematics with geo-fencing and curfew alert functionality, and various service access points accessible from the ground level. JCB covers each model with a two-year, 2,000-hour warranty.

    Beyond The Hood

The new site dumpers come with JCB axles and a JCB powershuttle transmission, ensuring a comfortable operator experience and performance to spare. JCB increased the wheelbase, widened the wheel track, and lowering the bucket height in order to decrease the payload center of gravity by 16 percent. This results in increased stability on uneven terrain and better mobility overall.

Tier 4 Final, Without The Fuss

The EcoMAX engine JCB installed in these machines is compliant with the EPA’s Tier 4 Final specification without requiring a diesel particulate filter (DPF), diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), or a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC). As a result, the only particulates these dumpers drop come from the bucket.
