CASE Unveils Its New TV450 Compact Track Loader
CASE Construction Equipment recently revealed its new TV450 compact track loader (CTL), which has a maximum operating weight of 10,610 pounds (4,813 kilograms), an operating capacity of 4,500 pounds (2,041 kg) at 50% tipping load, and a bucket cylinder force of 9,188 pounds (4,168 kg). It features a Tier 4 Final certified engine with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) that produces up to 90 horsepower and 282 pounds-foot (383 newton meters) of torque. It also has options for high-flow or enhanced high-flow hydraulics, which allow it to run attachments like stump grinders and cold planers.
“The CASE TV450 provides lifting and earthmoving performance that will meet the demand of general contractors, landscapers, roadbuilders — and the 4,000 psi with enhanced high-flow makes this an excellent platform for attachments,” says Deborah Townsley, product marketing manager for CASE Construction Equipment. “It’s a powerful, large-frame loader that handles heavy materials and still provides the advantages of low ground pressure for jobsites where finished lawns and underground utilities may exist.”
Standard Features
The CASE TV450 has a canopy that meets Level 1 ROPS (rollover protection systems) and FOPS (falling object protection systems) requirements. Its wide cab provides 360 degrees of visibility as well as a rearview mirror that is now standard. It also has cylinder guards in the front, a heavy-duty rear door, heavy-duty lights in the front, pre-wiring for a rotating beacon, and halogen lights (two each on the front, rear, and side). The standard controls are mechanical, but you have the option for CASE’s electro-hydraulic controls (EZ-EH), which are customizable to support a wide range of tasks and offer easy selection between standard H-pattern controls and ISO-pattern controls.
Simplified Maintenance
CASE designed the TV450 so that all service points, including the engine, filters, and other components, are easy to reach “through a single point of access at the rear of the machine,” according to a press release. The drivetrain is also easily accessible thanks to the TV450’s easy-tilt cab, and you’ll never need to worry about maintaining diesel particulate filters thanks to the SCR system, which “only requires diesel exhaust fluid,” CASE says.
