Morbark Launches The 23X Chiparvestor At Demo Days
Winn, Michigan,-based Morbark recently capped off its 12th annual Demo Days, an event where the company hosted hundreds of professionals from an extensive dealer network that spans the globe, as well as attendees who work in the forestry, biomass, recycling, lumber processing, and landscaping industries.

Morbark’s Demo Days is more than just a simple meet-and-greet, it’s an opportunity for current and potential customers get behind the wheel or take the controls of many of the company’s machines, tour the factory where those machines are built, and talk to the folks responsible for building them. The event is also great for making new contacts in the industry and visiting with other vendors at sponsored booths.

At this year’s event, Morbark took the opportunity to unveil its latest 23X Chiparvestor whole-tree disc chipper. According to Michael Stanton, Morbark Director of Industrial Sales, “We took our previous proven design technology and focused on minimizing downtime, increasing production, and making improvements that will help contribute to customer success.”
Marquee features of the flagship 23X include a 75-inch (190.5-centimeter) diameter x 5-inch (12.7-centimeter) thick chipper disc, a built-in dirt separator with deflector to ensure wood chips go one way and any unwanted material goes the other, better ground clearance, super single flotation tires, a simplified feed system, streamlined adjustments via the independent disc drive tensioning system, a large work platform that eases maintenance, and an 8-foot, 6-inch (2.6-meter)-wide frame that allows for legal worldwide road transport.
