Genie GS-1330m Is A “Micro-Sized” Scissor Lift

Genie’s new GS-1330m scissor lift is extremely compact, as shown above. The new lift weighs less than 2,000 pounds (907 kilograms), yet still offers an 18.8-foot (5.73-meter) maximum working height. (Photo courtesy of Genie.)

The new GS-1330m is a new, lightweight, compact scissor lift from Terex’s Genie brand. It’s made for rental usage in tight spaces or areas with weight restrictions.

“Weighing less than 2,000 pounds (907 kilograms), the Genie GS-1330m scissor lift is able to access jobsites previously off-limits to heavier slab scissors and vertical mast lifts in the industry due to passenger elevator capacity limitations,” says Mike Flanagan, product manager with Genie.

The GS-1330m has a maximum platform height of 12.8 feet (3.9 meters) and a max working height of 18.8 feet (5.73 meters). It has fully proportional lift and drive control, and can carry two workers or up to 500 pounds (227 kilograms).

    Standards Compliance

“To be in compliance with the upcoming changes to ANSI and CSA standards in North America, as well as to adhere to ISO standards globally, the Genie GS-1330m scissor lift is equipped with new features such as platform load sense, which will help operators understand when they have overloaded the platform,” Flanagan says.

The lift comes standard with platform swing gates and toeboards on each entrance. It has an all-day battery capacity, the company says, and can be driven by the operator even when extended up to its full height.

    Ease Of Service

The new GS-1330m is engineered for quick maintenance so it can get back into the rental pool in a hurry. “The Genie Smart Link control system simplifies troubleshooting with onboard, easy-to-read, and user-friendly machine adjustments and diagnostics,” Flanagan says, “and it is compatible with the Genie Tech Pro Link handheld diagnostic tool.”

Like other GS lifts from Genie, the GS-1330m has swing-out service trays for unimpeded access to its hydraulic, electrical, and other systems.
