Terex AWP To Launch New Genie GS-4655 At bauma In April
Terex AWP (Aerial Work Platforms) will unveil its new Genie GS-4655 slab scissor lift at the upcoming bauma construction machinery tradeshow running from April 8 to 14 in Munich. Set for global availability in the third quarter of 2019, the electric GS-4655 is billed as an eco-friendly, compact, and lightweight model outfitted with sealed AC electric drive motors that offer “excellent ‘green’ efficiency.”
Indoors & Outdoors
Operators will be able to put the GS-4655 to work indoors and outdoors, including in narrow-aisle warehouse, electrical installation, facilities maintenance, tilt-up, and heavy-duty construction applications. The lift joins a lineup of Genie slab scissor models that already includes the GS-1330m, GS-1530, GS-1930, GS-2032, GS-2046, GS-2646 AV, GS-2632, GS-2646, GS-3232, GS-3246, and GS-4047.
Indoors, the GS-4655 will provide a maximum 52-foot (16-meter) working height. Outdoors, the maximum working height is 34.6 feet (11 meters). Elsewhere, Terex says the GS-4655 will provide a class-leading 4-foot (1.2-meter) horizontal outreach with fully rolled-out deck extension and 25% gradeability and 14-degree break-over angle to make climbing ramps and transport easier. Lift capacity is 770 pounds (350 kilograms) for up to three workers, plus tools and materials. The GS-4655 weighs 7,800 pounds (3,538 kilograms).
The Feature List
Various features the GS-4655 will provide include side-by-side railings, diamond-plate flooring, side forklift pockets, swing-out service trays, the Genie Smart Link control system, and compatibility with Genie’s optional Tech Pro Link handheld diagnostic tools. Genie Product Manager Zach Gilmor says the company “engineered this model to deliver the height and emissions-free power to work indoors and out, even in harsh outdoor jobsite conditions.”
