Rayco, a Morbark brand, recently unveiled the newest iteration of the RCT150 Crawler Truck. The RCT150 is available as a cab and chassis model or can be outfitted with a 10- x 7.8-foot (3- x 2.4-meter) dump bed with removable sides. Weighing in at 20,500 pounds (9,300 kilograms) without the dump bed and 23,900 pounds (10,840 kilograms) with it, Rayco’s newest crawler carrier has a maximum carrying capacity of 15,000 pounds (6,804 kilograms). The company says it “can accept a broad range of truck beds and bodies or be fitted with equipment to perform specialized tasks, such as drill rigs, aerial lifts, cranes, and more,” and says that the truck is easy to outfit with auxiliary hydraulics.

    Power, Performance & Easy Maintenance

The RCT150 features a Cat Tier 4 Final engine that produces 275 horsepower (205 kilowatts), which Rayco says is “more horsepower than other machines in its class.” It’s also outfitted with Rexroth hydraulic pumps; the company specifically designed the RCT150 for ease of maintenance with “unrestricted access to engine and hydraulic components.” The new crawler carrier has a maximum travel speed of 4.1 mph (6.6 km/h) or 6.8 mph (10.9 km/h), depending on whether you choose the low or high track drive speed. It also features 28-inch (710-millimeter) rubber tracks that Rayco says “yield ground pressure of just 4.0 psi (27.6 kPa) when loaded.”

    Comfort & Control

The heated, air-conditioned interior of the RCT150’s cab is designed for maximum operator comfort and features a front window that folds up to offer an alternate exit. Other features include a color display panel with access to machine health and engine performance data and an air-ride suspension seat with adjustable armrests.
