CASE’s New CX350D LR Excavator Provides Increased Digging Radius & Depth
CASE recently introduced its new long-range excavator, the CX350D, which features a number of upgrades including increased dig radius, depth, and precision along with an enhanced operator experience.
Range
The CX350D has an operating weight of 88,200 pounds and is powered by a 268-horsepower Tier 4 Final diesel engine. Its elongated boom and arm and additional counterweight has up to 24,500 foot-pounds of bucket digging force with a maximum dig radius of 61 feet, 3 inches and maximum depth of 46 feet, 3 inches. The boom and arm are designed for increased durability to support the added power of the machine.
Efficiency
The excavator has a thick steel undercarriage and single-slope design to reduce dirt accumulation and make it easier to clean. The SCR (selective catalytic reduction) Tier 4 Final provides greater fuel efficiency and reduced emissions without the use of a DPF (diesel particulate filter); this eliminates the need for filter regeneration or maintenance. The CASE Intelligent Hydraulic System, a combination of controls for boom and auto economy, swing relief, and spool strike, provides faster cycle times and increases efficiency.
Operator Benefits
For the operator, the excavator has a heated air-ride seat, Bluetooth radio, rear- and side-view cameras, and optional visibility enhancements such as LED work lights and an additional side-view camera to provide a 270-degree aerial view of the worksite. Users also have three working mode options (Speed Priority, Heavy, and Automatic) to meet the needs of the project.
