JCB Introduces New 2TS-7T Teleskid Compact Track Loader With Tier 4 Final Engine & Telescopic Boom
JCB just introduced a new 2TS-7T model to its Teleskid skid steer and compact track loader range. The new compact track loader features a 74-horsepower (55-kilowatt) JCB by Kohler engine that meets Tier 4 Final emissions regulations without using a diesel particulate filter or diesel exhaust fluid. It has an operating weight of 9,914 pounds (4,497 kilograms) and a maximum operating capacity of 2,096 pounds (951 kg). At maximum reach, the 2TS-7T has an operating capacity of 1,140 pounds (517 kg). It also has a maximum forward reach of seven feet (2.1 meters), a below-grade dig depth of two feet (0.6 m), and a maximum lift height of 11 feet, 10 inches (3.6 m).
A Compact Alternative
With these specs, the new 2TS-7T is a smaller alternative to JCB’s two 3TS series loaders (the 3TS-8T and 3TS-8W), which have rated operating capacities of 3,695 and 3,208 pounds (1,676 and 1,455 kg), respectively. JCB says the compact nature of the 2TS-7T allows it to work in tight spaces, while it’s long forward reach allows operators to “load both sides of a flatbed trailer from one side and reach over fences and other obstacles to place a load.”
Other Features
The 2TS-7T Teleskid comes standard with an enclosed cab with climate control, but JCB also offers a canopy option. The cab itself is large for a compact track loader: JCB says it’s up to “47% larger than competing machines.” Other features include switchable ISO/H-pattern controls, the JCB Smoothride System, an SAE/ISO standard quick hitch, and options for flow rates of 18.6 or 29.4 gallons per minute.
