Manitowoc To Reveal Six New Cranes At CONEXPO 2020
Manitowoc will bring 10 cranes to the upcoming CONEXPO-CON/AGG construction trade show, which will be held March 10 to 14 in Las Vegas. Six of the cranes will be brand-new models from the Manitowoc, Grove, Potain, and National Crane brands. Other units will be new to the North American market.
Among the models at the Manitowoc booth will be Grove’s 165-ton (150-metric-ton) GRT9165 rough-terrain crane, 300-ton (250-metric-ton) GMK5250XL-1 all-terrain crane, 40-ton (36.3-metric-ton) TMS500-2 truck crane, and 140-ton (127-metric-ton) GHC140 telescoping crawler crane. Potain’s 2.4-ton (2.2-metric-ton) Hup M 28-22 self-erecting crane will appear with a transport axle specific to the United States. Finally, the National Crane 60-ton (54.4-metric-ton) NBT60L boom truck will be on display as well.
Customer Feedback, Rapid Rollout
Manitowoc says that the six new cranes, along with six other new cranes it debuted less than a year ago at the Bauma show in Germany, demonstrate the company’s capability for rapid design and manufacture.
“At CONEXPO 2020, we plan to show how our innovation and velocity efforts under The Manitowoc Way are producing cranes that offer class-leading design and performance,” says company CEO and President Barry Pennypacker. “Many of our customers provide direct input into the design and functionality of our new cranes, and we know that they will be thrilled to see their contributions come to life.”
