Snorkel Displays Low Step-In Scissor Lift, Pressure Washer & Engine Options At ARA Show
Snorkel is highlighting its new S3019E electric scissor lift at the American Rental Association's ARA Show 2020 taking place through tomorrow (February 12) in Orlando, Florida. The manufacturer also revealed a couple of new options for its 600S, 660SJ, 400S, and 460SJ telescopic boom lifts.
The Low Step-In S3019E
Snorkel’s new S3019E electric scissor lift completely stows its scissor stack inside its chassis when its platform is lowered. This innovation gives it a remarkably low step-in height of just 22 inches (56 centimeters) and an impressive 69.1-in (1.76-meter) stowed height. Moreover, its 43.3-in (1.1-m), ANSI/SIA A92.20-compliant handrails can fit through typical doorways without being folded down.
Maximum working height is 25 ft (7.62 m) for the 3,485-pound (1,580-kilogram) machine, which can lift up to 550 lbs (250 kg). The S3019E also features a flush-mounted, two-rung ladder. The lift is available now to order.
Pressure Washer Package
One of the new options Snorkel is showcasing at ARA Show is a pressure washer package for the ANSI-compliant 600S and 660SJ telescopic boom lifts. The 3,500-psi pressure washer is usable at the lifts’ maximum platform height, thanks to its 20-ft (6.1-m) hose reel, which mounts on the basket. It supports limited, non-continuous, 360-degree rotation for outstanding maneuverability.
The pressure washer package makes use of water tanks attached to both sides of the lift chassis. Total water capacity is substantial at 400 gallons (1,500 liters). The system uses a commercial pump that is rebuildable, along with a specialized, three-phase, 10-kW generator for power.
Kubota Engine Option
Finally, the Snorkel 400S and 460SJ telescopic boom lifts now have a new engine option. At 24.9 horsepower, the Kubota V1505 four-cylinder naturally aspirated diesel engine has only half the power of the standard Deutz 2.9L Tier 4 Final diesel, but Snorkel claims that performance will be unaffected. Gradeability, function speeds, and control speeds are the same with either engine, the manufacturer says.
Besides reducing noise, the optional Kubota engine requires no emissions aftertreatment because it comes in at under 25 HP. This means its exhaust system requires no maintenance. Snorkel uses the same Kubota engine and hydraulic system in its A46JRT articulated boom lift.
Rough-Terrain Scissor Lift
Snorkel is also highlighting a bi-energy version of its narrow S2755RT rough-terrain scissor lift at the ARA Show.
