Bobcat announced recently that it has redesigned its R-Series loaders to be more powerful and durable inside and out. The Bobcat T76 compact track loader and the S76 skid-steer loader are the first new R-Series loaders to hit the market with more to follow at a later date.

    New Features

The new loaders have redesigned lift arms with cast-steel sections for increased lifting capability and a slimmer-profile arm that also enhances visibility. A new cooling system with a larger fan reduces operating temperatures for key components for optimal operation. The series comes with an inline engine, durable direct-drive system, and Bobcat’s 5-Link torsion suspension undercarriage for smoother operation. The cast-steel Bob-Tach attachment-mounting system has fewer welds and openings that allow dirt and debris to pass through for less buildup and stronger attachment connections. Both the T76 and the S76 have 74-horsepower (55-kilowatt) Bobcat turbocharged diesel engines.

    Cab Upgrades

For greater operator comfort, the new cab is one piece and is sealed and pressurized to repel dust and dirt inside and isolate noise while optimizing heating and air-conditioning. The entire cab can rotate to provide service access when it is time for maintenance. The R-Series also has optional clear-side enclosure and mesh-free windows for better visibility. The cab comes with a choice of the standard 5-inch display or an optional 7-inch display with Bluetooth and push-button controls located at eye level. The loaders come standard with LED lights, but have the option of a premium LED package with lights that wrap around the cab’s upper corners. An optional backup camera is also available.
