CASE Introduces New SV207E, SV211E & SV213E E Series Single Drum Vibratory Soil Compactors

CASE Construction Equipment recently introduced three new single drum vibratory soil compactors, the E Series 75-horsepower (56-kilowatt) SV207E and 134-hp (100-kW) SV211E and SV213E, which will replace such past models as the SV208 and SV212 in the company’s lineup. The new E Series compactors have maximum operating weights of between 18,520 and 33,400 pounds (8,400 and 15,150 kilograms) and offer a range of centrifugal forces from 14,387 and 64,000 lbs (6,525.8 and 29,030 kg).

Performance & Servicing

CASE sought to improve the overall performance of its E Series compactors by introducing Tier 4 Final engines, a redesigned frame, and a range of updates including “an oscillating articulated roller joint that maintains consistent drum-to-ground contact and an updated drum design reduces drift and maintains constant compaction throughout each rotation.” These features combined allow operators to properly compact soil in fewer passes for improved efficiency. The SV207E also stands out thanks to its “compact rear design” and shorter turning radius, features that CASE says make it ideal “for compaction on jobsites of all sizes.”

The manufacturer also focused on serviceability with its new soil compactors, by introducing “redesigned engine compartments” and “optimized hydraulic electrical routing.” A manual-lift hood ensures ground-level access to oft-serviced components, including filters, drains, fluid ports, and more.

Cab Features & Options

The all-new E Series offers two main configurations: an enclosed cab and an open rollover protection system option. CASE refers to the operator environment as “spacious, comfortable, and intuitive,” with a seat that swivels 80 degrees and enhanced visibility thanks to a sloped deck in the rear. The machines also feature a steering wheel with an integrated LED display that offers “access to critical machine information,” among other benefits, CASE adds.

For customers that want to go beyond the standard offerings, CASE also offers a range of optional add-ons, including a front dozer blade improved grading, a padfoot drum and padfoot shell kit, and an automatic traction control feature that allows the compactors “to climb grades of up to 67%,” according to CASE.
