Komatsu Highlights Quarry & Aggregate Equipment Lineup, Including Its New ZT44 Track Drill
At CONEXPO-CON/AGG, which took place in Las Vegas from March 10-14, Komatsu highlighted its portfolio of quarry and aggregate equipment, stating that “quarries can maximize productivity and uptime with a single-source supply and integrated system.” One such piece of equipment is the ZT44 track drill, which debuted at the show. Komatsu says the machine can handle a wide range of drilling operations, including working on uneven terrain, drilling at multiple angles, and de-watering.
Other Quarry-Focused Solutions On Display
Komatsu also had several other solutions on display at the show, including a scale model of the company’s high-angle conveyor, Joy Idlers, and the Stamler RF-5 reclaim feeder. Komatsu points out that the conveyor has “more than 160 installations globally” and that each one is customized based on the customer’s needs. The company designed it with interchangeable parts for easier repairs and added versatility.
More Details
Komatsu’s Joy Idlers feature a patented shaft technology designed to “optimize their load-bearing capacity,” the company explains. There are also configurations with idlers spaced farther apart to reduce the number of idlers to cut costs and streamline maintenance. Finally, the Stamler RF-5 “feeds, blends, and reclaims materials with the versatility to cover multiple applications,” Komatsu says. This means that companies can opt for a standard reclaim feeder rather than a customized one, which can result in a 30% to 40% faster delivery time.
