Deere Announces New TC36 & TC48 Trencher Attachments For Skid Steers
John Deere has announced new trencher attachments for lighter-duty agricultural, landscaping, and construction tasks as well as the rental market. The economic TC36 and TC48 trenchers fit Deere skid steers and compact track loaders using the manufacturer’s universal Quik-Tatch mounting system.
“We continue to expand our collection of time and cost-saving attachments by incorporating cutting-edge solutions that benefit our customers on the job site,” says John Deere Program Manager for Global Attachments, Jessica Hill. “The TC-series trenchers are an ideal solution to not only increase productivity, but also to increase uptime and lower daily operating costs while producing perfectly shaped trenches.”
The TC36 & TC48 Up Close
Deere’s new TC36 trencher has a 36-inch (915-millimeter) boom, while its TC48 brother has a 48-inch (1,220-millimeter) boom. Both units have a low-profile drive system and take a hydraulic flow of 14 to 22 gallons per minute (53 to 83 liters per minute) to operate. They have digging chain options and different configurations available for various soil conditions and job requirements.
Deere designed the two trenchers with a spring-loaded boom to absorb shock and vibration to the hydraulic motor, the loader, and the operator. The trenchers use an auger to remove loose soil from the trench, leaving a clean bottom, Deere says. A manual side shift feature facilitates digging close to obstacles and buildings. An angle indicator helps the operator dig more accurately, while an integrated skid shoe makes it easier to control the trenching operation.
