Construction, mining, agriculture, and oil and gas equipment buyers have a new Terex Trucks dealer in the Canadian province of Alberta: Headwater Equipment. Headquartered in Coalhurst near Lethbridge, Headwater is now selling and renting Terex Trucks’ TA300 and TA400 articulated haulers and providing aftersales support. Founded in 1997, Headwater operates three locations in Alberta and one in British Columbia.

Built To The Extreme

Terex Trucks notes its articulated haulers have a strong sales record in Alberta, where delivering quality performance in demanding conditions is a must. Featuring an upgraded transmission, the 30-ton (28-netric-ton) TA300 provides a 5% fuel-efficiency gain, a 3.1 mph (5 km/h) speed increase to reach 33 mph (55 km/h), and a 3,000-hour increase between scheduled oil maintenance compared to the previous model. The truck also provides enhanced operator comfort, thanks at least in part to its true independent front suspension. The hauler is equipped with a 370-horsepower (276-kilowatt) Tier 4 Final Scania DC9 five-cylinder engine.

With its 41.9-t (38-mt) capacity, the TA400 is the company’s largest articulated hauler. It has a heaped capacity of 30.3 cubic yards (23.3 cubic meters), and features an Allison HD4560 planetary gear transmission, fully tilting cab, electronically raising hood, and ground-level test points. Its six-cylinder Tier 4 Final Scania DC13 engine produces 444 hp (331 kW) of gross power.
