Terex Trucks recently presented Hills Machinery with its annual Top Dealer Award for selling the most articulated haulers of any Terex dealer around the world and having a market share improvement of approximately 80% in its territories.

“Since Volvo Construction Equipment took ownership of Terex Trucks, there has been huge investment in the products and they’re now producing great articulated dump trucks,” says Hills Machinery co-founder and President Jim Hills. “The latest trucks are robust, reliable, and perform well in whatever conditions you put them in. They are good value for money, simple to operate and easy to maintain. All of this, together with a generous warranty and both ours and Terex Trucks’ strong commitment to product support and parts availability, makes a very attractive offer for customers—I think that’s why we’ve seen such a strong increase in demand for the trucks.”

    About Hills Machinery

Hills Machinery has been selling, renting, leasing, and servicing Terex’s TA300 and TA400 articulated haulers from its locations in North and South Carolina since 2018. The company was founded by Jim and Adam Hills in 2007 and today has eight locations serving construction, mining, land clearing, and road building industries that operate in the diverse terrain of the region from coastal lowlands to mountains.

    About The TA300 & TA400

The TA300 has a maximum payload of 30.9 tons (28 metric tons), heaped capacity of 22.9 cubic yards (17.5 cubic meters), and a 370-horsepower (276-kilowatt) engine. The machine comes standard with a true independent front suspension. The TA400 has a maximum payload of 41.9 tons (38 metric tons), heaped capacity of 30.3 cubic yards (23 cubic meters), and a 444-horsepower engine (331 kilowatt). The high-capacity truck is ideal for large-scale construction projects, quarries and mine sites.

“North America is an important market for us,” says Terex Trucks Sales & Marketing Director Robert Franklin. “We want to grow our business in the region and reach new customers, which is exactly what Hills Machinery is helping us achieve. The team has excellent market, product and application knowledge, and they do whatever it takes to satisfy customer needs. They are committed to delivering the best products together with the best customer support, and I think that’s the secret to their success.”
