“Kubota’s new SVL97-2 sets the bar for our compact track loader line with standard equipped telematics, rearview camera, lockable DEF door, and a newly redesigned DEF System,” says Kubota Construction Equipment Product Manager Patrick Baker. (Photo courtesy of Kubota.)

Kubota is replacing its well-received SVL95-2 compact track loader with the new SVL97-2. The manufacturer says the new 96-horsepower (71.6-kilowatt) machine provides more productivity along with a list of upgrades.

    Setting The Bar

“Kubota’s new SVL97-2 sets the bar for our compact track loader line with standard equipped telematics, rearview camera, lockable DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) door, and a newly redesigned DEF System,” says Kubota Construction Equipment Product Manager Patrick Baker. “Our SVL line has been a core product offering within the construction equipment marketplace, and the enhancements available on this unit keep Kubota at the top of its game.”

    Feats Of Strength

The new SVL97-2 brings remarkable power and reach to the worksite. It has 3.4 feet (1 meter) of reach at its maximum height, and it’s rated to lift up to 3,200 pounds (1,450 kilograms) at 35% of its tipping load. Another impressive specification is its 7,961 pounds-force (35.4 kiloNewtons) of breakout force.

On site, the operator can set the loader’s rearview camera to display a continuous view behind the machine or only when reversing. Optional front LED work lights allow for safe operation early or late in the day. Meanwhile, a standard telematics system gives fleet managers a wireless view on the new Kubota’s whereabouts and status.

The SVL97-2’s cab has better sealing properties to keep out more dust, debris, and moisture. Kubota also improved the track loader’s DEF system for greater reliability over the long term.
