Liebherr will attend the upcoming MINExpo International 2021 trade show with plenty of goods from its Mining, Mobile Crane, and Components product divisions for attendees to sink their teeth into. The manufacturer’s sixth MINExpo appearance will find it introducing three new excavators, detailing its zero-emission program, premiering a new Mining Technology Product Portfolio, and showcasing numerous machines and components at its booth. Equipment on display will include the R 9150 G7 (Generation 7) excavator and the cab from the brand-new R 9600 G8 (Generation 8) excavator.
A World Premiere
MINExpo takes place September 13 to 15 in Las Vegas, and will cover all aspects of the mining industry, including exploration, mine development, open pit and underground mining, and processing. The National Mining Association (NMA) trade organization sponsors the show. Liebherr will make all its exhibits, announcements, and more available on its website and social media channels for those unable to attend.
At Liebherr’s booth, visitors can interact with various products and mining technologies via a VR (virtual reality) booth, attend daily masterclasses, and talk with Liebherr experts. The show will also represent the world premiere of Liebherr’s new Mining Technology Product portfolio, which includes Assistance Systems, Machine Automation, and Digital Service offerings.
Live & In Person
Liebherr’s 28,000-square-foot booth will showcase its new 336-ton (305-metric-ton) T 274 mining truck that falls between the T 264 and T 284 models. The company’s flagship PR 776 mining dozer will also be featured alongside the LiReCon (Liebherr Remote Control) Liebherr teleoperation system that provides additional safety and comfort for operators facing challenging mining conditions. Additionally, the booth will contain a 100-t (90-mt) LRT 1090 2.1 rough-terrain crane with a 154-foot (47-meter) telescopic boom, as well as the 16-cylinder D9816 engine used by the T 274; the manufacturer says its D98-series engines will be used in the production of Liebherr machines going forward.
Along with the R 9150 G7 and R 9600 G8, Liebherr will introduce the new R 9200 G7 excavator. Liebherr says it has established a new naming scheme for its excavators based on technology levels that will help achieve common and long-term logic within its Mining and Earthmoving product ranges. All three machines feature Liebherr Power Efficiency (LPE), Liebherr Assistance Systems, and Bucket Filling Assistant technologies. The LPE engine- and hydraulic-management system can reduce fuel consumption by as much as 20%, Liebherr says.
