Scottish articulated hauler manufacturer Terex Trucks recently announced it is rebranding itself as Rokbak. The new brand was unveiled at a digital launch event attended by dealers, customers, media, and Volvo Group colleagues from around the world.

    What’s New

Rokbak says its new name represents an exciting future and reflects the advances the organization has made in recent years. Significant investments and improvements have been made to Terex Trucks articulated haulers in recent years to make them among the most reliable machines available. Building from the foundation provided by Terex, Rokbak’s 30-ton (28-metric-ton)-payload RA30 and 42-t (38-mt)-payload RA40 are the most productive and efficient haulers the company has offered to date. To kick off the rebrand, both trucks sport new Rokbak colors and offer better fuel economy, lower emissions, improved safety, and greater durability.

    Evolving For Modern Needs

In the seven years since becoming a part of the Volvo Group, Rokbak has focused on product design, sustainability, safety, and people. The company put in Stage V-compliant engines for better fuel efficiency and reduced emissions, added a new transmission on the 30-t machine, and introduced Haul Track telematics. The company says it also shifted its manufacturing plant to 100% renewable energy to operate within science-based targets and ISO standards to reduce carbon emissions. Rokbak has also taken steps to increase worker safety and employee development to keep it staff up on skills and expertise. Dealer Operating Standards ensures the dealer network delivers the highest level of service.

    “A Proud Heritage”

“Our company has an incredible history and a proud heritage,” says Rokbak Managing Director Paul Douglas. “Seven years ago, we became a member of the Volvo Group, which allowed us to make major improvements in every part of our business. Millions of pounds have been invested in improving our products, modernizing our facilities, expanding our network, and developing our people. It has been a process of continual evolution. That’s why we feel it’s right to recognize this evolution with a new brand name to launch an exciting new chapter in our history. And we’ll keep investing to further improve our machines for our customers.”
