New Holland’s New C362 Tackles Jobs Previous New Holland Compact Track Loaders Couldn’t Handle
New Holland recently announced the arrival of its all-new C362 compact track loader, which the manufacturer says is its most powerful CTL to date. New Holland rates the C362 with an operating capacity of 6,200 pounds (2,812 kilograms) and a bucket-cylinder breakout force of 12,906 lbs (57.4 kilonewtons); the machine is powered by a 114-horsepower (85-kilowatt) engine.
“New Holland has never built a loader—wheel or track—this large or powerful, or with so much capacity as the new C362 compact track loader,” says New Holland Construction Director Tyler Mills. “This machine redefines best-in-class performance in key areas, giving you the confidence to tackle jobs you hadn’t considered before.”
Built To Lift & Carry
New Holland uses a new frame design on the C362 with bucket cylinders mounted to the front of the boom arms, which the company says increases ingress clearance and bucket breakout force. The new frame also features a heavy-duty steel rear door and rear hood. The C362 boasts New Holland’s Super Boom vertical lift, which increases the compact track loader’s dump reach and height to more easily load boxes and hoppers. When loading or unloading, operators enjoy better visibility thanks to the Super Boom’s low-profile arm and shoulder design, LED front work lights, and the rear camera. The latter can be viewed on the in-cab 8-inch display, which also provides access to engine settings and performance data.
Controls For All Types Of Work
The electro-hydraulic controls of the C362 allow operators to better control the track skid steer for specific jobs. The creep mode, for instance, lets operators set speed thresholds from one to 100 increments to optimize the C362 for slow-speed work like trenching and cold-planing. New Holland also includes an automatic straight-line tracking mode to maintain a straight travel path on uneven terrain for greater working precision.
