New Holland recently launched a new economy-class loader backhoe dubbed the B75D. The 74-horsepower (55-kilowatt) machine comes with standard four-wheel drive and a maximum digging depth of 18.3 feet (5,584 millimeters) with its Extend-a-Hoe option.

“Adding the economy-level B75D loader backhoe is the new solution for diverse operations,” says New Holland North America Construction Product Marketing Manager Ryan Anderson. “Its high-performing lift capacity, comfortable operator’s platform, and outstanding digging depth will increase productivity in a wide range of work. The B75D is fit for operations needing something a bit smaller, but still looking for competitive and productive power.”

New Holland launched the new B75D, its smallest loader backhoe, at the International Landscape, Outdoor Living and Equipment Exposition (GIE+EXPO) held in Louisville, Kentucky.

    Low Maintenance, High Performance

The New Holland B75D gets its power from a quick-responding, 3.4-liter diesel engine manufactured by FPT. The turbocharged motor is able to comply with Tier 4 Final emissions standards without a diesel particulate filter (DPF) or diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) such as AdBlue, which require periodic maintenance. Instead, the engine uses a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) to meet emissions requirements.

The new backhoe comes with a power shuttle synchromesh transmission with four forward and four reverse gears. The 18,298-pound (8,300-kilogram) machine can travel at up to 24.4 mph (39.3 km/h).

    Visibility & Operator Protection

The B75D has a high-visibility operator’s station with two-door access and a roll-up rear window. The cab is protected by a canopy with rollover protection system (ROPS) and falling object protection system (FOPS) certification. Front and rear halogen work lights allow the new loader to get to work at dawn, dusk, or whenever light conditions are on the dim side.
