CLARK Material Handling Company recently launched its new TWLi20 three-wheel electric lithium-ion forklift, the most recent addition to its line of industrial lift trucks. The TWLi20 is powered by a 48-volt lithium-ion battery and has a 4,000-pound (1,814-kilogram) lift capacity. It has a narrow profile and tight turning radius to make it suitable for a range of operations, including indoor and narrow-aisle jobs.

“The TWLi20 adds another great product to our lineup of electric trucks, and it gives certified operators an easy-to-operate solution, regardless of their experience level,” says CLARK President and CEO Dennis Lawrence. “We are excited to introduce this truck to the market, and know our customers will see the value of this great new product.”

    Less Maintenance, Less Downtime

The TWLi20’s all-electric brakes and lithium-ion battery are both maintenance-free, with no brake pads to change, no battery watering required, and no need to remove the battery when charging. Operators can also take advantage of opportunity charging to keep the forklift running through an entire shift. Plus, lithium-ion batteries last longer, are more reliable, and require less service than the traditional lead-acid batteries. Additionally, the hydraulic lift components are sealed against dirt and water to protect them from contamination, further reducing maintenance and downtime.

    Improved Operator Comfort

The TWLi20 has a spacious cab and intuitive dual-joystick controls. The interactive digital dash provides audio and visual warnings for potential safety issues. The cab also has an adjustable armrest, retractable seatbelt, and a wide-view mast and high operator seat position for enhanced sightlines.

“Our three-wheel electric forklift, powered by an integrated lithium-ion battery, marks another great step forward for CLARK,” says CLARK Director of Sales and Marketing, Brandon Bullard. “The longer service lifespans available through lithium-ion batteries requires less maintenance compared with lead-acid batteries, and the ability to opportunity charge is a huge advantage in a busy operation. The TWLi20 is a great addition to the CLARK line, and represents our commitment to providing a full scope of material-handling solutions for customer’s changing needs.”
