Doosan Bobcat unveiled its all-electric Bobcat T7X track skid steer, the first of its kind in the world, at CES 2022 in Las Vegas last month. The battery-powered T7X eliminates hydraulics, emissions, and vibrations. The machine also boasts reduced noise levels, allowing it to work indoors or in noise-sensitive areas. The T7X also lowers daily operating costs with a reduction in annual maintenance costs and the elimination of diesel, engine oil, diesel exhaust fluid, and hydraulic parts.

The T7X received two 2022 CES Innovation Awards for Vehicle Intelligence & Transportation and Smart Cities. The CES Innovation Awards recognize the highest-rated products in each category based on design, functionality, consumer appeal, engineering, and positive impact.

    About The T7X

The compact track loader has electric actuators and motors, and uses only one quart of eco-friendly coolant. The diesel/hydraulic equivalent model requires 57 gallons of fluid. The lithium-ion battery and intelligent power management system automatically backs off power when not needed to preserve battery life. The hydraulic work group has been replaced with an electrical drive system made up of electric cylinders and electric drive motors. The new all-electric platform provides instantaneous power and peak torque at every operating speed, eliminating the wait that traditional hydraulic systems require to build up power.

The T7X is powered by a 62-kilowatt lithium-ion battery from Green Machine Equipment, Inc. Each charge can power the loader through common daily tasks, and with intelligent work modes can last up to four hours of continuous operation or a full day of operation during intermittent use. The skid steer is also fitted with software for two-way telematics communications and can provide data on machine and operator performance, allowing operators and fleet managers to adjust machine preferences, align performance settings to particular jobs, and upgrade product features. Bobcat also announced plans to introduce all-electric attachments for the machine, including an electric auger, an angle broom, and a grapple.

    "At The Forefront"

"Doosan Bobcat is at the forefront of innovation, and we are proud to debut the all-electric technology of the T7X to help customers maximize both sustainability and productivity," says Doosan Bobcat, Inc. President and CEO Scott Park. "Our focus remains on providing solutions and products that empower people to accomplish more and build a better world.”
