Doosan is giving its 200 size class wheel loaders a -7 Series makeover, complete with all-new cabs, increased bucket capacity, and additional fuel-saving technologies. Doosan says the 200 size class wheel loaders have proven to be capable in all kinds of applications, from feeding cattle on the farm to loading, grading, and site prep at construction sites. And with new features like the Doosan Smart Guidance System, Load Isolation System, and Doosan Smart Load, the company is providing valuable new additions on the DL200-7, DL220-7, and DL250-7.

“We’re excited to offer a -7 Series iteration of our popular 200 size class wheel loaders in North America,” says Aaron Kleingartner, product and dealer marketing manager, Doosan Infracore North America. “These are among our most popular wheel loader models because of their versatility. It’s quite common for customers with these machines to purchase a hydraulic quick coupler for fast and easy attachment changes.”

    Exclusive Tech

Many of the intelligent features found on Doosan’s larger -7 Series wheel loaders are making their way to the 200 size class. The Smart Load system, for example, makes it easy to capture accurate material weight measurements and track delivered loads. Doosan’s two-camera Transparent Bucket option lets operators virtually view the bucket’s materials on an in-cab display.

“We anticipate that the Transparent Bucket will be a popular option for our Doosan -7 Series wheel loaders,” says Kleingartner. “Another new technology available in our newest Doosan wheel loaders is Situation Awareness Technology (SAT). The technology helps save fuel by automatically adjusting the engine output in real time to the needs of the drivetrain and hydraulics. It lowers fuel consumption without reducing performance.”

    Power & Capacity Options

The DL200-7 offers a bucket capacity of 2.6 cubic yards (2 cubic meters) and a static tipping load of 19,705 pounds (8,938 kilograms). Doosan is also introducing a hydrostatic drive system on the DL200-7, providing operators with Max, Traction Control, and S-Mode preset traction settings to match jobsite conditions. Doosan increased the DL220-7’s performance with 3.0-cu-y (2.3-cu-m) bucket and static tipping load of 20,461 lbs (9,280 kg). The new 200 size class is headlined by the DL250-7, featuring a 3.3-cu-y (2.5 m3) bucket and static tipping load of 30,528 lbs (13,847 kg). A high-lift option is available for all three models that extends both dump height and reach.
