    Paver and screed manufacturer VÖGELE will introduce new compact SUPER 1300 tracked and SUPER 1303 wheeled pavers at the bauma 2022 trade fair occurring October 24th to 30th in Munich, Germany. Both machines are from the manufacturer’s Classic Line, and both are ideal for small- and medium-sized construction jobs, such as rehabilitating road surfaces in urban and rural areas. Each includes the ErgoBasic operator control system, and each comes with an option to add a Niveltronic Basic automated grade and slope control system.

    The SUPER 1300 & 1303

    VÖGELE also manufactures Premium Line pavers that use an ErgoPlus 3 operator control system, which ErgoBasic is based on. The Premium Line and Classic Line lineups are divided into mini, compact, universal, highway, and special class categories. The compact class SUPER 1300 and SUPER 1303 are both 6.1 feet (1.85 meters) wide. VÖGELE says they’re well-suited for companies seeking robust, reliable technology but that don’t need all the features of its Premium Line models provide.

    Both pavers are powered by Tier 3 emissions-compliant Deutz four-cylinder liquid-cooled diesel engines rated for 100 horsepower (74.5 kilowatts). The SUPER 1300 has a maximum laydown rate of 385 tons (349 metric tons) per hour, while the SUPER 1303 has a maximum rate of 275 t (250 mt) per hour. Paving widths range from 2.5 to 16.4 ft (0.75 to 5 m) when paired with a VÖGELE AB 340 extending screed and depending on the compacting units or width-reduction units or additional attachments used.

    ErgoBasic = Easy Operation

    VÖGELE says it adapted ErgoBasic specially to the needs of Classic Line paver operators, giving them easy access to essential features. The system includes function and status displays, control of various operating modes, and glare-free backlighting for nighttime operation. The SUPER 1300’s implementation provides a rotary controller, and the SUPER 1303’s a conventional steering wheel.

    VÖGELE Screeds

    VÖGELE’s screed lineup includes 12 extending and fixed-width models available in up to five compaction variants. Working widths range from 1.6 to 59.1 ft (0.5 to 18 m), and layer thicknesses extend to 1.6 ft. VÖGELE says the extending AB 340 model is a good fit for its 1000- to 1300-class compact pavers, and is perfect for building combined foot and cycle paths, minor rural roads, and narrow roads or squares.
