Liebherr Introduces Compact LH 26 M Timber Litronic Mobile Log Loader For Jobs In Tight Spots
Liebherr has debuted its smallest material handler for logging operations, the LH 26 M Timber Litronic timber truck. With an operating weight from 51,800 to 57,300 pounds (23,500 and 26,000 kilograms), the compact LH 26 M Timber Litronic features a small front and rear swing radius that allows it to work in narrow passages. The maneuverable wheel log loader is being marketed to sawmills, timber yards, and woodworking shops with limited space in the U.S. and Canada.
Auto-Reverse Steering
Liebherr’s LH 26 M Timber Litronic is a sixth-generation timber tractor with a reach of 36.1 feet (11 meters). Its grab can handle 1.20 to 2.27 cubic yards (1 to 1.9 cubic meters) of logs at a time.
All-wheel steering is a standard feature on the new log loader. The LH 26 M also comes with an automatic steering reversal feature that conveniently engages when driving backward to keep the steering direction consistent.
The right front contour of the LH 26 M is always within the width of the undercarriage, which allows the machine to operate very close to the wood pile or sorting string. Liebherr says the visibility from the cabin is excellent.
Speed With Efficiency
The 168-horsepower (125-kilowatt) Liebherr engine in the LH 26 M pairs high performance with low fuel consumption. It supplies the vehicle with quick acceleration, high tractive force on slopes, and respectable payload capacity. The engine also adheres to Tier 4 Final emissions standards and enables the timber truck to tow trailers of up to 66 tons (60 metric tons).
The LH 26 M’s hydraulic pump produces a high flow rate that speeds up working cycles. In addition, a new undercarriage design supports a two-point blade. The extra stability from the blade helps the machine handle more timber while loading or unloading a trailer.
